Introduction to NCC Certification>>

NCC stands for the National Communications Commission of Taiwan, which primarily regulates communication and information equipment circulating and used in the Taiwan market:

1. LPE: Low Power Equipment (e.g., Bluetooth, Wi-Fi devices);
2. TTE: Telecommunications Terminal Equipment (e.g., mobile phones, tablets).

Product Scope>>

1. Low-power radio frequency devices operating between 9kHz and 300GHz, such as:    - Wireless Local Area Network (WLAN) products (including IEEE 802.11a/b/g)    - UNII devices    - Bluetooth products    - RFID    - ZigBee    - Wireless keyboards    - Wireless mice    - Wireless headsets/microphones    - Walkie-talkies    - Radio-controlled toys    - Various radio remote controllers    - Various wireless security systems

2. Public Switched Telephone Network (PSTN) products, including corded telephones (including VOIP network phones), automatic alarm devices, answering machines, fax machines, remote control devices, corded telephone wireless master/slave units, push-button telephone systems, data equipment (including ADSL equipment), caller ID display terminals, and 2.4GHz RF telecommunication terminal equipment.

3. Public Land Mobile Network (PLMN) products, such as wireless broadband access mobile station equipment (WiMAX mobile terminals), GSM 900/DCS 1800 mobile phones and terminals (2G phones), third-generation mobile communication terminals (3G phones), etc.

Sample Requirements>>

1. Two fixed-frequency RF prototype units and one standard prototype unit
2. For multi-channel products, provide fixed-frequency prototypes; for single-channel prototypes, provide continuous transmission prototypes

10. For out-of-region testing, manufacturer certification is required; for local testing, RF usage certificate must be provided

Certification Process>>

1. Receive samples for preliminary testing; prepare the above documentation during testing
2. After testing, arrange sample shipment to Taiwan for testing
3. Taiwan will issue the report and certificate

Certification Timeline and Validity >>

Certificate Validity: Permanent; NCC certification cycle approximately 5-6 weeks
