1. Introduction to Certification
RCM (Regulatory Compliance Mark) is a registration mark, indicating that the supplier declares that the product complies with the safety and other requirements of Electrical safety laws and regulations in Australia and New Zealand, as well as electromagnetic compatibility, RF, and telecommunications requirements in Australia and New Zealand. The RCM logo can only be used if the product meets the requirements of Electrical safety regulations and EMC, RF, and telecommunications regulations at the same time. As long as the product is approved to use the RCM logo in any one state, it can be accepted by the statutory regulatory bodies in other states, thereby achieving one-time approval for state passage.

3. Applicable area
Australia and New Zealand
4. Product range
As long as it is an electrical product, the voltage range is between AC 50V~~1000V; DC 120V~1500V, and must meet the requirements of the Australian Electrical Safety Law.
Level 1 Low risk category: Certification requirements generally refer to DC power supply products that do not require mandatory registration, but require an agent.
Level 2 risk category: Certification requirements generally refer to mandatory registration of AC power supply products, which are implemented according to the list.
Level 3 is high-risk and has a list of 56 products. Certification requirements: mandatory registration, implemented according to the list.
5. Required information
1. Product brochures and specifications
2. Schematic diagram of the circuit
3. Product shutdown component list
4. List of product model differences
5. Attach a photo of the model
6. 3 main test model samples
7. Product Application Form
6. Certification process
1. The third-party laboratory evaluates the product and determines the testing standards to be implemented;
2. If there is any non-conformity in the test, the laboratory will rectify the product to meet and meet the requirements of the Australian standard;
3. Pass the test and issue a test report;
4. If the product belongs to level 2 and level 3, it is necessary to submit a safety test report to the Australian certification authority for document review;
5. Australia has passed the audit and issued a Safety Certificate;
6. Customers can complete the Australian website registration by themselves or by the laboratory.
7. Factory inspection
Australia RCM certification does not require factory inspection
8. Matters needing attention
1. The RCM logo needs to be uniformly added to the product. Note that this requirement was announced in Australia on April 19, 2013.
2. When the in-line adapter is certified for RCM safety regulations, a random test of the plug is required.
3. Lamp products: such as T8 LED lamps and fluorescent lamps can be directly replaced by users, so the safety risk is relatively high, so samples need to be sent to Australia for evaluation.
4. If the product has CB and country differences, you can directly transfer to Safety Certificate. In addition to the EMC part, the agent can help to make an announcement. The product can be sold to Australia and marked with RCM Mark.
5. Safety Certificate: When applying for the safety part, if the product is a direct plug-in, you need to do AU Plug Test (Test Standard: AS/NZS 3112: 2004) for the product. If the product is Desktop, you don’t need to do this test.
9.Code for use of signs
The label must be clearly visible.
The label can be any color as long as it is visible. This may be done by contrasting with the background color or embossed markings (e.g., molding or engraving).
The height of the label shall not be less than 3mm.
If you use a QR code as a compliance label, the QR code must be linked to the website that highlights RCM.
