1. Introduction to Certification
ETL is the abbreviation of Electrical Testing Laboratories in the United States. It was founded by Thomas Edison in 1896 and is an NRTL (National Recognition Laboratory) accredited by OSHA (Federal Occupational Safety and Health Administration). After more than 100 years, the ETL mark has been widely recognized and accepted by major retailers in North America, and enjoys a high reputation like UL. The North American market has the most advanced and complete product testing standards, and has relatively high requirements for product testing and certification. As long as any electrical, mechanical or electromechanical product bears the ETL inspection mark, it shows that it has been tested to meet relevant industry standards.

1. Submit the application form;
2. Send samples to the laboratory;
3. The laboratory conducts sample testing;
4. After the test, submit the DS+Draft report to ITS for review;
5. Factory inspection (factory inspection is required for the first application);
6. After passing the agency issue the ETL certificate.
8. Certification cycle and validity period
The ETL certification period is generally 3-4 weeks, and it can be expedited, and an additional fee is required for expediting.
9. Factory inspection
When an enterprise applies for ETL certification for the first time, it needs to complete the factory inspection before obtaining the ETL certificate. The purpose is to ensure product consistency and the correct use of the ETL logo. After that, follow-up factory inspections will be carried out from time to time every quarter. In addition to the factory inspection fees, certificate and license fees must be paid quarterly.
