1. Introduction to Certification

UAE TRA is an agency that regulates radio and telecommunications communications. According to the regulations of TRA, all radio and communication equipment are required to obtain type approval when they are sold to the UAE market. The certification applicant must be a local company or a foreign company, but the applicant must be registered with TRA to supply in the UAE.

At present, the control scope of mandatory product certification mainly involves IT and home appliances, and other types of products are gradually included, such as: mobile phones, tablet computers, Bluetooth headsets, Bluetooth speakers, projectors, wireless chargers, massage equipment and other products.

4. Required information

1. Power of Attorney;

2. TRA application form;

3. Declaration of Conformity;

4. Company business license and contact person information;

5. Product manual (including technical specifications such as product technical parameters, frequency, frequency range and power);

6.RF test report and certificate, product picture;

7. Samples;

5. Certification cycle and validity period

The certification is valid for 3 years and the certification period is 3 weeks

No factory inspection required

7. Matters needing attention

1. The DoC submitted for product registration and its basis must be kept for at least 5 years after the completion of product sales.

2. TRA will conduct sampling supervision in the market or customs from time to time. If TRA finds that the product violates the regulations, it may take legal action.
