1. Introduction to Certification

Under the Telecommunications Act 1996 (Section 29), no terminal equipment shall be directly or indirectly connected to the public switched network unless it is of a type approved by the PTA. Sold in general, suitable for connection to certain public telecommunications networks.

Wireless wifi products, Bluetooth products, telecommunications equipment, mobile phones, telephones, wireless monitoring equipment, etc.

4. Certification Standards

If the Authority has not specified any technical standard equipment for a certain terminal, the technical standards developed by the following standardization bodies can be adopted: 

1. ITU Telecommunication Standardization Sector (ITU-T).

2. European Standard (EN).

3. The International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) and its International Organization Special Committee on Radio Interference (CISPR).

4. In the European Commission for Electrotechnical Standardization (CENELEC).

5. At the European Telecommunications Standards Institute (ETSI).

6. Occupational Health and Safety Assessment Specification (OHSAS).

7. International Organization for Standardization (ISO)

8. Directive 2014/53/EU of the Radio Equipment Directive (RED)

All terminal equipment must also meet the following basic requirements and standards:

1. Valid International Mobile Equipment Identity

2. Security requirements, i.e. mobile/handheld devices must comply with specific absorption standards

4. Circuit diagram (PCB LAYOUT)

5. Circuit bitmap (PCB placement)

6. Operation description (commentary to the block diagram)

9. Antenna Specifications (or Antenna Gain Diagram)

10. Fixed frequency software (also known as fixed frequency program. It enables the transmitting module to continuously transmit at a certain frequency point. Generally, BT and WIFI must be provided)

6. Certification cycle and validity period

The validity period of the certification is permanent

7. Factory inspection

No factory inspection required
