I. Can products display the CE logo if EN18031 certification is missing but EMC/RF compliance is achieved?

No. EN18031 certification is a mandatory requirement under the RED Directive.
Applying the CE logo without completing the required certification constitutes fraudulent misrepresentation. Detection of such practices carries severe consequences.

2. Can EN18031 be conducted at GTG if RED certification was previously done at another laboratory?

Yes. The original laboratory's report and certificate can be retained, supplemented with GTG's EN18031 report and Declaration of Conformity.

Alternatively, if all your RED certifications were conducted at GTG, a single RED certificate can be shared.

3. How should we proceed if new models are added after obtaining EN18031 certification at GTG?

If the new models belong to the same product series as previously tested items, they can be added to the original report and certificate without retesting.

However, if the new models differ from the original products, comparative testing is required, followed by issuance of new reports and certificates.

4. Can EN18031 reports and certificates issued by GTG be provided to distributors for use?

No. Our reports and certificates contain details such as the applicant, manufacturer, and factory information. Direct reuse is not appropriate.

However, we can resolve this issue through the derivative filing process.
